General information

Anaesthetic nursing requires high-quality, specific, complex training based on effectiveness and European quality standards, including the patient's anaesthetic safety.

The Nursing Applied to Anaesthetics, Recovery and Pain Management offered by the UPF-affiliated Mar Nursing School is built on three key pillars for success today: efficacy, patient safety during anaesthesia, and the use of ICTs (new information and communication technologies applied in the field of health with the support of a team of bioengineers).

The Master's Degree Nursing Applied to Anaesthetics, Recovery and Pain Management is a national programme that allows students to complete internships at different partner institutions across the country.

Objectives

The general objective of the master's programme in Applied Nursing Applied to Anaesthetics, Recovery and Pain Management is to prepare professionals with the skills they need to work in any field requiring training in anaesthesia: pre-anaesthesia visits; surgery unit; resuscitation unit; post-anaesthesia care unit; major outpatient surgery; ECT; critical care unit; pain management clinic; supplementary examinations (X-rays, resonance imaging, CT scans, MEG, etc.); endoscopies; haemodynamics unit; etc.
