Projects

1.- Maternal and infant care research line

Work is currently under way on the following projects:

  1. MidconBirth Study, which explores the contribution of midwives to normal birth care in public health settings.

The project forms part of COST Action 1405, financed by the European Community (www.eubirthresearch.eu). It is funded by the Council of Nurses Associations of Catalonia (www.llevadora.eu).

  1.  "Resultados maternos y neonatales de los partos planificados en casa con matronas en Cataluña", doctoral thesis that explores the factors contributing to greater risk of adverse events during home births, womens expectations in home and hospital births, and costs associated with childbirth.
