Professional Nursing Care

This area is based on a broad vision of nursing practice, viewing it as part of a system that operates across three levels of action: micro, meso, and macro-each interlinked and reciprocally impactful. At the most specific level, the micro level, research focuses on the study of nursing practice, emphasizing direct care (interventions and activities), as well as the methods and tools used to apply these in order to improve people's quality of life. At the meso level, research aims to understand care strategies, the processes in which they are embedded, and the mechanisms through which they are organized in various settings. At the macro level, research contributes to the development of care theories and models within a given healthcare system, considering their economic, social, and health-related impacts.
Its lines of research include:
- Mental health and emotional well-being
- Pain and anesthesia
- Kidney transplantation
