ALBA - Work package

|Alt Imatge|

WP0: Project coordination and knowledge mobilization

This package ensures the overall coordination of the project, the monitoring of the schedule and the implementation of the principles of Participatory Action Research (PAR). It includes the management of the Community Advisory Committee (CAC), internal and external communication, the creation of the project website and the planning of dissemination actions. It also includes the preparation of accessible informative materials, scientific publications and the necessary reports to guarantee the quality and progress of the project.

WP1: Diagnosis of psychosocial and educational needs

The first work package of the ALBA project aims to understand, from a participatory perspective, how children and adolescents live the experience of growing up with a parent with a serious mental disorder. This diagnosis combines different ways of listening to their voices and those of their families: on the one hand, through a comprehensive study that collects information on their emotional well-being, their relationships and their experience of the school environment; and on the other, through creative and expressive spaces that allow them to delve into their stories, concerns, strengths and desires.

WP2: Resource Mapping

This package identifies, analyses, and represents the psychosocial, educational, community, and health resources available to families affected by SMID in Spain.

It includes interviews with professionals from the health, education and social services sectors, as well as a review of institutional information.

The main result is the creation of a national interactive map using GIS tools that shows the distribution, accessibility, and gaps of the support system.

WP3: Critical review of the literature

This package carries out a critical and decolonizing review of international interventions and models aimed at families with parents affected by SMID.

You will examine scientific literature, public policy documents, and community materials to identify strengths-based, culturally relevant, and potentially adaptable approaches to the Spanish context.

WP4: Collaborative co-analysis and co-creation workshops

This package develops participatory workshops with children (divided by age groups), parents and professionals.

Its objective is to collectively reinterpret the results obtained in previous WPs and generate concrete intervention proposals.

Through participatory methodologies, recommendations will be made to improve institutional support (health, education and community) for families affected by the SMID.
