WP1: Data collection through focus groups
This work package focuses on obtaining primary data through group interaction with participants to explore their experiences with chronic migraine. The aim is to create a safe space for mutual recognition that allows for capturing the complexity of lived experience.
Main activities
- Design and validation of the guide: Development of a semi-structured guide including thematic blocks such as emotional impact, coping strategies, personal identity, and the relationship with the healthcare system.
- Logistics and recruitment: Coordination of a face-to-face setting in the university environment and invitation of the 27 selected women (distributed into three groups of nine participants each).
- Session moderation: Conducting three focus groups lasting between 60 and 75 minutes, led by a professional experienced in qualitative research.
- Recording and documentation: Audio recording of the sessions (with prior informed consent) and collection of field notes by the research team.
