University Master's Degree in Nursing Anaesthetics, Recovery, and Pain Management

The Practicum module will take place over two periods, distributed across two different trimesters:

1^st year:

External Academic Practices I will take place in the second trimester.

It will consist of 245 hours spread over 7-hour days, Monday to Friday, for 7 weeks. During this period, the student will undertake practical training in the surgical area, pre-anaesthesia consultation, and diagnostic/therapeutic testing units, under the supervision of a clinical tutor, who will be an expert nurse in the field.

2^nd year:

External Academic Practices II will take place during the fourth trimester.

It will consist of 105 hours, spread over 7- or 10-hour days, depending on the shift, Monday to Sunday, for 3 weeks. During this period, the student will undertake practical training in post-anaesthesia care units (post-anaesthesia recovery unit, recovery unit, critical care unit) and in acute and/or chronic pain units, under the supervision of a clinical tutor, who will be an expert nurse in the field.

During both periods, the student will be supervised by a clinical tutor, who will be an expert nurse in the field, and will also have an academic tutor, responsible for overseeing the student's academic progression.
